It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Cruz Lorenzo Vargas of Ontario, California. Cruz entered into rest at the age of 66 on Saturday, June 29, 2024. Cruz was born in Zacatecas, Mexico on November 5, 1957. In 1976 Cruz graduated from Ontario High School.
Cruz's true passion was being a musician. In the 80s and 90s he played bass and formed part of notable groups, Los Buitres, and Grupo Mestizo. Their biggest hit was “El Buey De La Barranca." Not only was Cruz a musician but also recognized as an award winning insurance salesman with American National. Cruz also became an expert irrigation technician.
A visitation for Cruz will be held Monday, July 15, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Draper Mortuary, 811 North Mountain Ave, Ontario, CA 91762.
A funeral service will occur Monday, July 15, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 811 North Mountain Ave, Ontario, CA 91762.
A graveside service will occur Monday, July 15, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn, 21300 Via Verde St, Covina, CA 91724.
