Raised in Upland California, Charles played goalie on a travel soccer team, played the drums in Upland High School’s Marching Band and Jazz Band, and played in Claremont Young Musician’s Orchestra. He loved animals, enjoyed river trips and water sports, games, and learning about computers.
After high school, Charles’s mechanical ability and love of cars led him into the transportation field. He trained as a auto mechanic, excelling in working with computer systems. He worked in this field for many years, always enjoying the people he worked with. At the time of his death he was working in fleet management for Deliver It in Anaheim, California.
Charles had an outgoing and enthusiastic personality, a kind heart and an unforgettable smile. Friendship, love and family were always a big part of his life. No matter what he was doing or where he went, Charles made friends quickly, was up for any adventure or new experience, and would share anything he had. He was a good listener. He always had an interesting story, a relatable article he had read, or a joke to share. Charles made sure everyone left his company with a smile. He especially loved being an uncle and spending time playing games and acting silly with his nieces.
Charles leaves behind his parents, Bob and Sandy, his sister Christine and brother Robbie, his grandmother Barbara, his beloved nieces Logan and Frances, and his girlfriend Heather. In addition, he is loved and greatly missed by his aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends. Although his life ended much too soon, we are all grateful for the time we spent together. His love, life and spirit will not be forgotten.
