Ray was born and raised in California he grew up in La Verne and attended Bonita High School. He married and lived in Upland before moving to Ontario.
Ray was a loving husband to his wife of 60 years, Mary (Castro) Perez of Claremont.
He is survived his daughter Veronica (Greg) Giacomin of Upland, and two sons Raymond Perez of Wisconsin and Phillip Perez of Upland and 6 grandchildren Jocelyn (Mac) Navarro of La Verne, Nicholas Giacomin and Vincent Giacomin of Upland, Luke Perez, Brooke Perez and Connor Perez of Wisconsin and one great granddaughter, Nova Navarro of La Verne.
Brothers Richard Perez and Jesse “Jacob” Perez of La Verne, and sisters Josie Haller (Steve) of Azusa, Chris (Steve) Arenas of La Verne, Virginia (Matt) Mulder of Upland and Lucille Perez of La Verne. He is preceded in death by his mother Adela Perez and his brothers Johnny Perez and Bob Perez of La Verne.
Ray was a devoted husband, a kind hearted, loving father, grandpa and great grandpa.
Ray worked 34 years at Ontario Montclair School District, as a carpenter and retired 16 years ago.
Ray enjoyed life to the fullest, he loved practical jokes, fishing in the Sierra Mountains, watching Football on Sunday’s with his brothers, playing Keno at the casino, he enjoyed concerts in the parks in summer and menudo runs from Los Jarritos on Sunday mornings. He also loved his two dogs Charlie and Daisy.
Ray will forever be brightest, shining star in the sky, leading our way through life.
Memorial Service will be held at Draper Mortuary on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 7:00pm - 8:00 pm
