Sandra Jean Rynkiewicz

She was born January 22, 1947 in Brooklyn, the daughter of Vincent and Phyllis (Palladino) Strianse.

Sandy enjoyed teaching and spent almost 20 years in elementary education at Sidney Central School. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Oneonta.

She is survived by her children, Mike (Mary) Rynkiewicz of East Meredith, and Linda Fisher of East Meredith; grandchildren, Korey and Jacob Fisher, Brad Wilson, and Morgan and Vincent Rynkiewicz, all of East Meredith; brother and sister in law, Ronald and Geraldine Strianse of Ringwood, NJ; an aunt, Dorothy Saucci of Brooklyn; special friends, Regina Mariotti of Oneonta, Joanne Panepinto of Brooklyn, Nancy Lucid of NJ, and Sandi Milavec of Oneonta; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents, and a cousin, June Adamchuk.

Friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 9 to 11 am at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand Street, Oneonta. A Funeral Mass will take place immediately following at 11 am at St. Mary’s Church, 39 Walnut Street, Oneonta.

In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made to St. Mary’s Church or Athelas Therapeutic Riding, 1179 County Hwy 5, Otego, NY 13825.
