Frank was born on January 31, 1923 in Brooklyn, the son of the late Stefano and Vincengina (Lombardo) LaRussa. He married Gilda Lanzarone on November 28, 1948. She predeceased him on February 3, 2012.
Frank graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He worked as a salesman for Monroe Business Machines in Binghamton for 37 years. He served his country in the US Marine Corps during WW II.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Church, the Oneonta Elks BPOE 1312 and was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus.
Frank is survived by his two children, Steven LaRussa and his wife, Daisy of Otego and Mary Jo Wyman and her husband, Roger of Oneonta; his four grandchildren, Ross and Garret Wyman of Oneonta, Mary LaRussa of Florida, and Ashlie Blake of Unionville; his sisters, Rita Kwiatkowski, Rose Ecklund and Mary Schnell.
Besides his wife and parents, Frank was predeceased by his daughter, Joanne in 1966 and his brother, Salvatore LaRussa.
A funeral service will be held at noon on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand Street, Oneonta with Rev. Scott VanDerveer, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Emmons.
His family will receive friends on Monday, October 7, 2013 from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
