Donna Lee Quackenbush

She was born January 31, 1947 in Bloomville, NY the daughter of the late Vetal and Bertha (Hitt) Quackenbush.

Donna graduated from Fleischmanns High School the Class of 1966.

For many years, Donna was a nurse’s aide in many area nursing homes. In more recent years she was a cook and driver for R.S.S.

She enjoyed swimming, camping, cooking, reading, going for rides looking at the changing leaves and Christmas lights and BINGO. But her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren.

Donna was a member of the Mountain View Social Club and was an advocate for mental health awareness and issues.

Donna is survived by her three children, Sandra VanKeuren (Mike Marino), Oneonta, Julian VanKeuren, Jr. (Joe Helwig) Cobleskill and Donald Greene (Kimberly Garcia), Sloansville; 4 grandchildren, Larry VanKeuren, Eric Meade, and Matthew and Natalie Greene and their mother, Erica Greene; as well as many other surviving family members. She was predeceased by two granddaughters, Kimberly Sites and Samantha Greene.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Funeral services will immediately follow with the Rev. Stephen D. Fournier officiating. Burial will be in the Davenport Cemetery, Davenport.
