Theresa Rose Schulze was born on March 20, 1927, in Willow Lake, South Dakota to Daniel Matthew Couch and Margaret Ellen Esler Couch. After traveling at age 4, with her mother and siblings, Theresa grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. Theresa had many talents and joys in life which included: bowling, sewing, figure skating, bridge, singing, and music. She had a beautiful voice singing and dancing around the house to the Sound of Music. Her gift to several of her siblings was to sing “Ave Maria” at their weddings. Theresa’s greatest love was her faith, prayer, pink roses, and belief in the Holy Catholic Church. Theresa passed away on May 13, 2022, after 95 years of a life of fulfillment in the comfort of her own home. Theresa is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Schulze; parents, Daniel and Margaret Couch; son, Daniel R. Jensen; daughter, Sandra Wills, granddaughter Dawn Marie Zimmerman; sisters, Mary, Claire, Josephine (Ruth), and Margaret; brothers, Jim and Jack. She is survived by her children; Linda Baldwin; Jack Jensen (Mary); Cheryl Langdon; Randy Schulze (Micki) and Robin Scallan (Jay); 19 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren, sisters Patricia and Shirley; brother Denise (Joann). In addition, Theresa is survived by many nieces and nephews. A rosary for Theresa will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 9:30 AM at Saint Leo the Great Catholic Church, Omaha, Nebraska, followed by a memorial mass at 10:00 AM.
