Survived by: Wife - Joan, Stepchildren - Tammy and Brian, Granddaughters - Samantha (Johnny) and Ashley, Grandson - Austin, Great Grandchildren - Roman, Penelope, and Priscilla. Also survived by, Mother - Dolores, Brothers - Bill (Teri-Spouse) and Tom (Renee-Spouse), and Sister Nancy (Chuck-Spouse), Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews.
Rick was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He graduated with his law degree from the University of Minnesota, summa cum laude. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He moved to Omaha and began working his way to Owner and CEO of Modern Equipment Company. He loved hockey, especially the Minnesota Gophers, the Vikings, classical music, rock and roll, smoking a cigar, and reading a good book. He played the piano, the organ, and sang in the choir. He collected cds, books, and records. He is much more than these few words. He is loved and missed.
A memorial visitation for Richard will be held Monday, July 1, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
