Lois attended University of Omaha where she was an ice hockey cheerleader. After Lois had Laurie she had decided to be a stay at home mom to raise her two girls. Before she had worked for UP. She enjoyed bridge, bowling, table tennis, her sorority, needlework, gardening, dogs, traveling (especially with her cruise gang), collecting things and she was a very artistic woman. Lois and Donald loved Husker sports. They had season tickets to Husker football, volleyball and football for many years, often attending bowl and away games. They also had season CWS tickets for many years. She and Donald would have celebrated their 72nd anniversary this year on June 5. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Smith; daughter, Laurie Reed and grandson, Ryan Reed. She is survived by daughter, Betsy (Kerry) Stuckey; many nieces and nephews. Lois will be laid to rest with her husband at Westlawn Hillcrest Memorial Park.
