John C. Matteo Sr.

John was preceded in death by his parents Pascale and Maxine Matteo, infant son Scott Matthew, and brother James.

John married his wife Darlene December 11th, 1965. They had four sons: John (Stacie), Chris (Lyn), Tony (Becky), and Joe (Shawn). He had 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way. John was a machinist his whole life.

John loved fast cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles. John owned five motorcycles over his life. He and Darlene would travel to Sturgis as often as they could. He passed on his love for motorcycles to his children and grandchildren.

John loved being with his family. He spent 57 years with the love of his life Darlene. John was a proud man and enjoyed life. He will be dearly missed.

A visitation for John will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home.
