John Hall made an impression on everyone he met. He was charming and known for his quick wit, creativity, compassion and generosity. John was active in community theater for many years. He was a founding member of River City Mixed Chorus.
John was born in Parris Island, SC. He is survived by his partner, Bob Hoppe, and his two brothers: Jeffrey Hall (Denise) of Albany, Georgia, and Jaimie Hall (Reitha) of Salem, Oregon.
After graduating from the University of Georgia, John taught art in the public schools for a year before being drafted. While in the U.S. Air Force, he was stationed in South Korea. Omaha became his home after serving in the military. He joined Richman Gordman early on as a trainer for store personnel. Later on he served as an executive coach at Gordmans.
Memorials are suggested to River City Mixed Chorus, Open Door Mission, or Food Bank of the Heartland.
A celebration of life for John Hall will be held on Sunday, Nov. 13, from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. at the Cultural Center & Gallery (3900 Webster) next to St. Cecilia Cathedral. Casual dress.
