Monday, December 17th. Jane, daughter of R. Allyn Moser and Mary Jane Myers Moser, was
born in Nebraska City, NE on February 25, 1944. She is survived by husband and life partner
Donald Heck; children Dianna Zaleski (Jeff), Jennifer Glazer (John) and Donald Heck (Heidi);
and grandchildren Avery, Noah, Grant, Danny, Jane, Cayden and Jackson. Jane was a loving
mother and grandmother and was passionate about her family, gardens and quilts. For twenty
years Jane was co-owner of Landmark Gardens in Plattsmouth, NE where she cultivated over
800 varieties of hostas on three acres of wooded grounds. Jane was a Master Gardener and
co-founder of the Shady Choice Hosta Society of Omaha. Jane spent the last thirteen years
devoted to her passion of gardening at Lauritzen Gardens working as a volunteer coordinator
for over 300 volunteers along with various other roles. Always a people person, Jane loved to
interact with her volunteers and the public and loved to travel with her friends, children and
grandchildren. Jane displayed her creative talents through her beautifully hand-crafted quilts
and abundant gardens. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lauritzen Gardens on Friday,
January 4th at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lauritzen Gardens and
Temple Israel.
