Preceded in death by father, Elvin Einsel Sr.; mother, Ida Mae Einsel; sisters, Paula Kennedy, Phyllis Sunken, and Patricia Burger; and brothers, Ellis Einsel and Phillip Einsel.
Survived by loving wife of 59 years, Marlene Einsel; son, Mark (Micki) Einsel of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Zach Einsel of Phoenix, AZ, Adam Einsel of Omaha, NE, and Aaron Einsel of Omaha, NE; many nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.
Elvin worked for the Omaha World-Herald in the press room for 47 years. He was a member of the ECKANKAR community for over 50 years.
Elvin will be remembered for his ability to make people laugh and feel loved. He will be dearly missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.
A memorial service for Elvin will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. Memorials may be directed to Elvin's family for further designation.
