Dale Blain Stickney, age 67 of Omaha, passed away peacefully at home on September 4, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home located at 5701 Center Street. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. A luncheon will be served after the service at a location to be announced.
Dale was born March 3, 1956 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Lowell and Philomena “Minnie” Stickney. Dale grew up in Omaha, joined the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. Over the years, Dale became a jack of all trades. He was very proud of the success of his home improvement business, Heartland Home Improvement. Dale loved hot rods and tinkering with all of his many projects.
Dale is survived by the love of his life, Pam; sister, Ruth (Gerald) Young, brother, David (Margo) Stickney, and brother-in-law Jim (Kim) Murphy. Also survived by his children, Sherry (Steve) Holmes, Shelly (Bill) Jochim, Darryl Stickney and Joleen (Brock) Johnson, grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Joyce Brosnan and Cynthia Stickney, brother Darryl Stickney, and niece Roxy Stickney.
