Barbara A Buelt

Barb was born on August 31, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan, to Rev. Raymond and Gladys (Steffens) Staudacher of Birch Run, Michigan. Following high school graduation in Kinde, Michigan, she joined her sister in Omaha and worked as a secretary.

Barb married Allan Buelt on September 23, 1972 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Omaha. She later worked at various national government agencies, including the Internal Revenue Service and Homeland Security. Barb enjoyed camping and was an avid bowler in retirement. She and Al were members of Lamb of God Lutheran Church.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Ted, Dick, Ray, Lew and Jon Staudacher; and her sister Stephanie Livingston. She is survived by her husband Al; daughter and son-in-law Becky & Chris Stockton of Minneapolis, Minnesota; sister Lois Porath of York, Nebraska; sisters-in-law Mary Johnson of Tucson, Arizona, Carol Riesenberg of Moscow, Idaho, and Lenore Lodge of Sioux City, Iowa; and brother-in-law Ron Ensley of Great Bend, Kansas.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 5th, 2024 at Westlawn Hillcrest Funeral Home, with a visitation starting at 10 a.m. Following a luncheon, burial will take place at Omaha National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Curtis Brooks will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
