Dear son of the late Louis and the late Minnie Gelber; former loving husband of the late Martha Sacks Gelber; dear father and father-in-law of Fran (Steve) Zamler, Myrna (the late Oscar Edward Williamson, Jr.) Williamson, Vicki Gelber and Glen (Debra) Gelber; cherished grandfather of Kurt Deutsch, Kim (Gary) Bussard and Kristi (Scott) Runyan, Lisa Rose (Christopher) Koon, and Oscar Edward Willamson, III, Michelle (Scott) Gerlis, Dr. Lauren (Brice Dal Farra) Munsch Dal Farra, Lewis Groswald, and Maxwell Groswald; loving great-grandfather of Elijah Deutsch, Haley, Mackenzie, Bryce Bussard, and Moses Okpala, Clay, Jakob, and Charli Rose Runyan, Berkley, Ava Rose, and Gunnar Koon, William and Bastien Dal Farra; dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Helen (the late Fischel) Bank and Carolyn (the late Allen) Lasky; dear brother-in-law of Ruth Berger and the late Albert A. Marvin served as Sergeant in the United States Army (1942-45). He was a home builder and a commercial real estate developer, and won Outstanding Businessman of the Year for the City of Creve Coeur (1982). He also served on many Boards of Directors including Fidelity Bank & Trust, Landmark Bank, and Jefferson Bank & Trust. He served as Grand Marshal of the Creve Coeur Days Parade for many years. Marvin was an avid horseman and community leader. He will be remembered as a great businessman, philanthropist, and much loved family patriarch.
