Heidemarie Paula Wright

Heidemarie Paula “Heide” Wright (1948~2015) - Suddenly due to a motor vehicle accident on Monday, November 23, 2015 in Osoyoos. Heide Wright in her 68th year was born in Ludenhausen, Germany. Her family immigrated to Canada when she was a child. They settled in Red Lake, Ontario where she lived until she and Wilf moved to Osoyoos in 1993. Beloved wife of 49 years to Wilfrid; lovingly remembered by children, Terry (Crystal) Wright of Oliver, B.C. and Allison (Bernie) Winstanley of Rock Creek B.C; grandchildren, Joshua Wright of South Slocan, B.C. and Kimberley Wright of Cranbrook, B.C. Survived by mother, Inge Grunewald of Osoyoos; brothers, Frank (Linda) and Otto (Tracey); sisters, Roswitha (Fred) and Ingrid; numerous nephews and nieces; uncle and cousins in Germany; predeceased by her father, Gunther Grunewald and Wilf’s parents Wilfrid and Doris Wright. Wilf and Heide have owned multiple businesses over the years including Osoyoos Taxi. In recent years Heide worked for Ashton’s Ladies Wear, Tim Hortons and McDonalds. Heide enjoyed travelling and camping and had a passion for gardening, sewing and knitting. She had her private Pilot’s license and enjoyed hosting BBQ’s for her family and friends. An active member of the Soroptimist International Club of Osoyoos. Best known for her sales during the rocking horse campaign each Christmas. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015, 1 p.m., in the Chapel of Graham Funeral Home, 5920 Kootenay Street, Oliver, B.C. A time of fellowship and refreshment will follow at McKia’s Restaurant , 5506 Main Street, Osoyoos from 2:30 to 4:30. Cremation. Interment at a later date at Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery.
