Ruth Bryant, 92, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2022. Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Robert “Bob” Bryant; parents, Henry and Annie Coleman; siblings: Nora Fitts, Robert Coleman, Virginia Stevens, Glynn Cooper Darby, Henry Coleman, Jr., Anne Christmas, and Limuel Coleman; and half-brother, Powell Coleman. She is survived by her brother, Milton Coleman(Rosa); brother, Minor Coleman; brother-in-law, Jack Christmas; 7 nieces and nephews; and some very special neighbors who helped take care of her, Judy Oetkin and Yvonne and Curt Boykin. Mrs. Bryant was born on March 31, 1930 in Coldwater, MS. She is a 1948 graduate of Coldwater High School. She retired from Ely Walker and FedEx after serving as executive secretary for both. In her free time, she loved to golf and was a member of the Cherokee Lady Golfers. She was very independent and lived by herself and was still driving in April of this year. Her greatest passion in life was her family and friends. Mrs. Bryant was a firm believer in Jesus Christ and attended LaBelle Haven Baptist Church in Olive Branch. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Monday, December 5, 2022 beginning at 12:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery in Coldwater, MS. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Bryant's honor to the Scotland Cemetery Fund at 6724 Palestine Rd., Coldwater, MS 38618.
