Rickey Edwin Dowdy, 66, went home to be with the Lord on December 9, 2023 at Baptist DeSoto in Southaven, MS. He was born on August 2, 1957 to Charles and Dorothy Dowdy in New Albany, MS. Rickey loved his family. He enjoyed calling and spending time with them. Rickey also enjoyed holidays, which Christmas was his favorite. You could find Rickey working on old cars, and making items for his family. He recently made two truck lamps for his grandsons. Rickey was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Dowdy and his sister, Toni Dowdy. He leaves behind his wife, Kathy Lynn Ezell; four children: Joseph Dowdy (Megan), Ayla Reynolds (Daniel), Michael Ezell, and Bryan Ezell; two siblings, Janet Comeaux (Donald), and Stephen Dowdy. Rickey also leaves behind three grandchildren, Sammy Reynolds, Saven Dowdy, Randy Flattnes, and one grandson on the way, Wesley Reynolds.
