Dad, you will be greatly missed. No one can fill your shoes. I remember the first time I came to your house after Steve and I married. I hugged you goodby, with my arms around your waist you stood there and within a second or two I felt those big arms gently surround me and give me a huge hug back. Uncle Neil use to tell me get your father in law to do something they wanted you to do, because I could get you to do anything. I don't know about all that, but it seemed to work.  I will miss you coming around the back of the house with that funny little walk, and teasing me about how sweet my ice cream is. Life will never be the same without you, you enriched me life so.  I will always have a part of you with me, living thru Steve. He is so much like you in many ways.  I love you dad.

Found this picture the other day and thought I would add it to the collection.  Dad was a hard worker and took pride in the things he worked on.  Things always had to be done a certain way.  I believe that is a trait that I got from him :>O

I was blessed to become part of this wonderful family 2 1/2 years ago when I married Randy or as Margie calls him "Ran".  My fondest memory was when I came down to visit Randy during our dating period.  I stayed with Margie and John.  One night we came in extremely late and John fussed at us for not coming home sooner.  He scared me to death.  Then we wound up staying up even later listening to his hilarious stories.  I wish I had gotten to know him sooner.  He loved his Margie and the boys.  When he was in the hospital and/or nursing home, he kept his eyes on Margie.  Wow, 60 years of marriage.  He will be missed.  We used to say God broke the mold when he created John.  He was truly one of a kind.  To my sweet mother in law, you are not alone and we will move heaven and earth to help you.  Randy has your same sweet spririt, thank you for bringing him into my world. Aunt Margie, Randy & Steve: My heart is saddened at the loss of Uncle Johnnie. He was a loving Husband, Father and Uncle which we'll all miss dearly.  As you said today Aunt Margie, life will never be the same without Johnnie.  I have great memories of our Tuesday night fun night over the last few years and the wonderful times we had around the kitchen table.  Uncle Johnnie loved playing the VCR, watching John Wayne movies and eating Sonic burgers/ice cream as we stayed up late laughing and just simply having a good time.  These are memories that I'll always cherish as well as many more throughout my childhood.  My prayers are with you all during this difficult time.  I love you and your families very much.

Dearest Aunt Margie, Randy & Steve:  My heart grieves for you in the loss of your husband and father.  Uncle Johnie was one of my favorite uncles.  He always had the ability to make me laugh, and I loved hearing his tales about the "olden days."  One of my favorite things to do was to get the three brothers together and listen to the banter between them.  Uncle Johnie could always tell the tallest tales, though.  I am saddened by his death, and the grief that my father (Uncle Johnie's brother) is going through.  I want you to know that I care about your loss, and I know that it is painful.  Knowing the pain of my son's death three years ago, I can tell you that the sadness will always be there, but you will begin to remember the good times more often.
