Jessie “Aunt Bit” Brewer, 94, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Hearthside Senior Living in Bartlett, TN. She was born on March 20, 1929 to the Late Joe and Jessie Nicholson in Collierville, TN. Aunt Bit was a very crafty lady. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, and attending Lucy Baptist Church. Aunt Bit was also very strong willed and determined. If she didn’t like how you were doing something she would tell you and then do it herself. Aunt Bit loved her family especially her grandchildren and great nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Brewer; a son, James Wilson Baird, Sr., and two siblings, Joe Nicholson, Jr., and Eula Brown. Aunt Bit leaves behind two grandchildren, Fran Triplett, J. Wilson Baird, Jr., and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Olive Branch, MS. Memorial contributions in Aunt Bit’s memory may be made to Lucy Baptist Church, 4005 Lucy Rd. Millington, TN.
