Jerry Loyd Bennett, 59, of Olive Branch, MS passed away on November 16, 2024. Jerry was born on September 17, 1965 in Memphis, TN to the late Jimmy Bennett and Beatrice Lindsey Bennett. He is a graduate of Collierville High School. He served our country in the United States Air Force from 1986 until 1990. He worked for Lowe’s in New Albany, MS for many years and loved his co-workers very much. He considered them his second family, especially Mack McDonald, who he considered a brother. In his free time, he enjoyed rescuing dogs and working with the Tunica Humane Society. He was an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers. Jerry is survived by his son, Chad Bennett; sister, Gail Baird (Billy); and his caregiver, Denise Bennett. A celebration of life for Jerry will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Tunica Humane Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in his honor.
