Harry Carl Keys, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 7, 2024, surrounded by his family in Coldwater, Ms. Born August 10, 1947, in Henderson, TX, Harry was the son of the late James and Martha Jo.
Harry served his country with distinction in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
A lover of the outdoors, Harry had a deep passion for hunting, and if he wasn't at home, you could always find him out in the woods. His love for nature was matched only by his lifelong dedication to his career as a diesel mechanic, a profession he cherished and took great pride in.
Harry was also a member of the Shriners Club, where he built lasting friendships. However, his greatest joy in life was his family—particularly his son and grandchildren, who meant the world to him.
Harry will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love for the outdoors, and most of all, the deep bond he shared with his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Keys and Martha Jo Dawson.
Harry leaves behind his son, Jimmy Keys (Britany) and three sisters, Margaret Drumwright (Bruce), Janet Wilkerson (Jerry Hollandsworth) and Mary Jo Kirkpatrick (Ken). He also leaves behind his three grandchildren, Alyssa, Kaley, and Lucas.
