Dear Floyd family.  You all know how special Mr. Floyd was to me.  I miss him, as I know you do too.  He was my boss, my mentor and my friend.  I know he is celebrating in Heaven now.  Though we all have a big hole in our hearts, we'll see him again.  Take care and we continue to pray for ya'll.

Having known this entire family for all of my 36 years- I cannot simply pick one singular memory of Mr. Donald.  On April 17, 2007 the day our house burned--he and Mrs Jerry were one of the first handful of people to rush over and he cried and hugged me so tightly that morning... then when Mark was ill and had the health issues he had in Novemeber of 2009--he came to the house and told us 'if you need a ride to and from Memphis every single day you call me and I will drive you!"  And we knew he meant every single word.  THAT is the man that Mr Donald Floyd is.  THAT is the everlasting mark that he made on this Earth.  THAT is the man that raised his girls, loved his grandkids, spoiled his great grandkids, and made his church family know they were thought about and loved every single day of the week not just on Sunday morning. If ever there was or will be one person that will without a doubt be missed it is Donald.  I am so thankful that the family and all of 'us' extended family can KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt that he IS in paradise...that we DO have the option of seeing his sweet smile again...hearing his compassionate words and feeling his gentle hug when we need it.  The Lax family loves you all-- Jerry, Tina, Susan, Bobby, Bob, Jonathan, Andrea, Michael, Kyle, and the precious babies.  Our thoughts and prayers are for comfort and peace that only God can provide.
