Barbara Jean Nelson Cleveland, 84, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 in Southaven, Ms. Born to the late Ralph and Mary Nelson on October 17, 1933, she was a retired Officer Manager at Northwest MS Pest Control and former Alderwoman for the city of Southaven. Mrs. Barbara was a long time resident of Southaven, MS and a member of Labelle Haven Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husband of 68 years, Granville Cleveland, Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Whittle; a son, Roger Cleveland (Stephanie); three grandchildren, Holli Gross (Jeff), Jeremy Whittle, and Brett Cleveland (April). She also leaves behind five great grandchildren, Landon and Turner Gross, Callie, Carlie, and Cody Cleveland. Family will receive guests on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 11:00 am at LaBelle Haven Baptist Church, 4800 HWY 305 N Olive Branch, MS 38654. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery.
