Julia loved to play Bingo, and go to Hollywood Slots and Foxwoods Casino. She enjoyed trips to the Maine Coast and Lobster Rolls. She will be remembered for her Spunk, sassy and sometimes sarcastic personality, her love of playing card games especially cribbage and sweet grass braids. She served on Tribal Council.
She is survived by three children Belinda Cote of Indian Island, Raymond Cote and his companion Cheri Sikes of Brewer, and Geoffrey Cote and his wife Juliann of OK; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; sister Caron Shay of Indian Island and brother Norman Shay of Brewer. She was predeceased by two children Matthew and Bertrand Cote.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Woodlands, Brewer and Westgate Manor, Bangor for the wonderful and compassionate care shown to Julia.
Friends may call 5-8PM Monday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church Indian Island where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Tuesday. Spring burial will be at Tribal Cemetery, Indian Island.
