OLD TOWN- Edwin Erwin Myers, 84, died March 31, 2020 at Maine Veterans Home Bangor. HE was born August 20, 1935 in Lubec a son of Earl E and Mildred (Mitchell) Myers.
As a teenager Edwin got up very early in the mornings before school to deliver milk in the town of Lubec by horse drawn wagon. then on to the school to start the woodstoves to warm the school before classes started. At the age of seventeen Edwin and his twin brother Edward, left school and joined the Navy. In 1956 Edwin was a Midshipman aboard the U.S.S. IOWA after which he stationed in Korea to serve in the Korean War. Edwin returned to Maine after his military service and made Old Town his home. He worked on the pipeline for a time and for several construction companies in the area; P.J. Sulinski and Sons, Dow Foundations, MacGyver Construction, later known as Dirigo Slip Form. In 2003 the State of Maine offered High School Diplomas to all veterans who served and were unable to attend their home town graduations. Edward and Edwin received their diplomas at the Old Town High School 2003 graduation with Edwin's grandson Jacob.
Surviving are his son Walter "Butch" Myers and his wife Susan Apgar, his daughter Vickie Hunter and her husband Kevin Hunter of Bunnell Florida; three grandchildren Jacob Alden Myers, Amanda Krause and Scott Hunter; five great grandchildren Aubrey Myers, Simon Browne, Payton Mae Krause, Aiden Marie Krause and Waylon Stone Hunter
Edwin was predeceased by his parents, in 2005 his wife Dona Mae (Bacon) Myers, sister Maryann Myers, twin brother Edward Myers.

A graveside service will be conducted for the immediate family at Maine Veterans Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta.
