Cheryl Ann Treadwell

ALTON—Cheryl Ann Treadwell, 72, died November 6, 2022 at a Bangor Hospital. She was born June 30, 1950 in Bangor, daughter of William H. and Myrtle M. (Michaud) Shirland.

Cheryl graduated from Old Town High School and Delores Beauty School. Cheryl enjoyed her time with her family and friends and will be fondly remembered for her zest for life and the fun she had along the way. A loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother; she was always present and her support was unending. She never missed an event of her children or grandchildren, and travelled all over in support of them. She shared a special bond with the “Ya-Ya Sisters” and the friendship shared with Carol, Becky, Christy, Mary-Jo, and Fran was unwavering. She enjoyed dancing and working outside with her son-in-law, Corey. She loved Florida and spending time with her friends at Club Chalet, especially during “happy hours.” She was employed at the Department of Health and Human Services for over 20 years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Brian Treadwell; daughter Denise Smith and her husband Corey, son Dereck Treadwell, daughter in law Elizabeth Drucker, grandchildren McKenna and Kobe, her mother Myrtle Shirland; brother Bruce Shirland and his wife Vanessa; sister Beverly Estes and her husband Ron; special cousins Sharon Guay and Pam Guimond; close friend Leota Arsenault, TJ Crawford; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father William Shirland.

A graveside service will be conducted 1PM Monday November 14, 2022 at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town.
