Every Christmas Eve. Sandy and Scotty hosted a party at their house. This turned into a tradition where you could see as many as 40 to 50 friends and family celebrating.
Through her life, Sandy always gave back to the community. She volunteered each year for the Fire Department Carnival spending long hours in the ticket booth, working on the funding for the construction of the Westbrook Ambulance Association and Valley Shore YMCA buildings, a leader and active volunteer in the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, Treasurer of the Cypress Cemetery and volunteering in the Daisy Ingraham and Westbrook Middle and High School Libraries.
Sandy was especially proud of and loved her collection of her favorite cartoon character, Snoopy. She collected many shelves of the memorabilia of the famous Beagle.
Sandy and Scotty loved to travel and reached 48 of the 50 United States including Alaska and Hawaii. They brought their children to Cape Cod every fall kindling a love of the Cape for them.
