Albert Joseph Saunders

Mr. Saunders was born on October 8, 1937 in Hartford, CT the son of Albert and Margaret "Polly" Rotchford Saunders. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from UCONN. He married Noreen Guay in 1973 in Hartford, CT. He owned and operated the A J Saunders Agency in West hartford then Wethersfield. Mr. Saunders was a Captain of the Boys Brigade in St Augustine Church in Hartford for 20 years. He was a CYO basketball coach, a member of the Knights of Colombus in Hartford, a member of the Christ the King Church Men's Club, and a member of the greater Hartford Surety Association.

Mr. Saunders is survived by his loving wife Noreen, his son Kevin (Dawn) Saunders of Newington, Catherind Saunders (Patrick) Mohen of Newington, Monica Buccheri of Old Lyme and Kerry Buccheri of East Lyme. his grandchildren Joseph, Rachel, Melissa, Nora, Zachary, Hailey and a great granddaughter Angelina.

The family would like to thank Bridebrook Healthcare for the compassionate care they gave especially Carlos, Adam, and Cheryl.

A Procession will assemble at 9:30am on Monday, April 18, 2011 in Fulton-Theroux FUneral Home, 13 Beckwith Ln., Old Lyme, CT 06371 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am in Christ the King Church in Old Lyme.
