Rosalie Catherine Hunt

Rosalie Catherine Hunt, age 92 of Old Hickory, Tennessee passed away on Saturday May 14, 2022. She was born on May 3,1930 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late John J. Hoehn and Rae Coenraets. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wilburn Eugene, “Putt” Hunt. She is survived by sister-in-law, Johnnie Hunt, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, along with special friend, Sharon Hunter.

Her work career included positions at Barnette Bank and Reliance Life Insurance, of Jacksonville, Florida, as well as the National Life and Accident Insurance Company and the Nashville Farmer’s Co-Op of Nashville.

Cathy was very active in her community. She has been a member of the Hermitage Presbyterian Church since 1952. She taught Sunday School, served as president of the Women of the Church and volunteered for many projects. She delivered Meals on Wheels, made lunches for Room in the Inn and visited at McKendree Village. She was a member of the Ladies Hermitage Association, The Brandywine Women’s Club of Old Hickory, The Tennessee Association for Lakewood Family & Community Education, a charter member of the Middle Tennessee Decorative Artists as well as a member of the National Society of Decorative Painters.

Mrs. Hunt will be laid to rest at a private family mausoleum service at Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.

There will be a celebration of life at noon, Saturday, May 21, at The Hermitage Presbyterian Church, 421 Highland View Dr., Hermitage, TN 37076 with Pastor Leslie Traylor officiating.
