Peggy was also an active member of Donelson Heights Methodist Church. In her free time, she was an accomplished seamstress and even made her daughter's wedding dress and veil.
Peggy is survived by her children Donna (Terry) Baskin and Tom (Mary) Hicks; grandchildren Kristan (Chris) Stovall, Jamison (Reen) Baskin, Lauren Baskin, Jay Hicks (Rachel Buckley) and Tracy Hicks; great grandchildren Caroline Kemp, Cate Kemp, Will Stovall, Macklen Baskin, Rylan Baskin and Locke Baskin; sister, Nancy (Frank) Conner; as well as many nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.
Peggy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Senator John T. Hicks; her parents, Brown and Bessie Tomlin; her brother, Ben Tomlin; and sister, Dorothy Lane.
