He leaves his wife of 41 years, Marilyn Kilmer; sons, Jeff Kilmer, Jim Kilmer; daughters, Kim Kilmer Omlor, Kristie Kilmer Martin; grandchildren, Krystle Weber, Randy Weber, Tiffani Kilmer, Michelle Kilmer and Kevin Martin; one great grandchild, sister, Florence Fuller; several nieces and nephews; extended family and friends
Paul is preceded in death by his parents Homer and Helen Kilmer; brothers, Cliff Kilmer, Harold Kilmer, Larry Kilmer, Dick Kilmer, Kenny Kilmer, Ronnie Kilmer; sister, Pauline Gorton
Paul was born in Binghamton, NY on January 13, 1937 to Homer and Helen Kilmer. Paul was the 2nd youngest of 9 children.
Paul graduated high school in 1955 and served his country in the United States Air Force from 1955-1959 and Air Force Reserves from 1959-1962. Paul was in the Marine reserves in high school.
Paul married Marilyn on November 17, 1975 In Illinois Paul moved his family to Hermitage , TN in 1975 and went to work at Standard Coffee for several years. Paul went on to run several Midas Muffler shops in Nashville and retired from ABC Mobile Brake. Paul wasn't one for the retirement life and picked up a part time job at TSA at the Nashville Airport and a private security company.
Paul enjoyed walking around his neighborhood and talking with his neighbors. He enjoyed working in his yard and riding his lawn mower. Paul loved sports and was a Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, Tennessee Titans and Tennessee Volunteers fan. Paul also enjoyed watching his grandson Kevin play baseball at Rotary Park and McGavock High School.
Paul enjoyed traveling when he was able. Paul visited many places and loved road trips.
A Memorial service with family and friends will be held on February 18th at 2pm with visitation one hour prior to service at Hermitage Funeral Home.
