FARMER Lucy Benson age 93 July 20, 2012; Preceded in death by husband Ray W. Farmer; sisters, Ina Benson Hancock, Ruth Benson Morse, Evelyn Benson Mosier & Lillian Benson McCrary. Survived by her beloved Airedale Lucy; nieces, Dr. Evelyn M. Frye, Janice Hancock Rador & Barbara Morse Leonard; nephews Edgar Hancock, Mark Hancock & Wilson Morse. Lucy was a member of Green Hill Church of Christ for 45 years; she was an active member of Donelson Red Hat Society. Lucy served as a Pink Lady at Nashville Memorial Hospital; she also was a volunteer with Alive Hospice and the American Cancer Society. Lucy worked as a executive secretary for TN Crop Improvement retiring after 31 years of service. Funeral Services Friday July 27, 2012 at 2 pm in the Hermitage Memorial Chapel with Bro. August Ruff officiating. Visitation with family will be Thursday, July 26th 6:30 – 8:00 pm and Friday, 12:30 to time of service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Lucy’s honor to Green Hill Church of Christ or Lebanon Humane Society.
