John Morris Dewey, age 86 passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015 after a short illness. Formerly of Janesville, Iowa, he is survived by daughters, Karen and Jan of Antioch, TN, Joan (Randy Smith) of Marion, AR, son Steve (Sara) of Sumner, IA; foreign exchange son, Mario Pino (Sheila Hofstedt) of Albuquerque, NM; four grandsons, Nick (John Kluchka) of Golden Valley, MN, Greg (Amy) of Sun Prairie, WI, Tim of Des Moines, IA, and Shawn of Sumner, IA; two great grandsons, Cole and Noah of Golden Valley, MN. Preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, his parents, Leslie and Stella Dewey; five brothers, Rolland, Chuck, Bill, Ray, Dean, and one sister, Ethelyn. Visitation with the family will be from 10-11 a.m. with Celebration of Life at 11 a.m., Friday, April 10, 2015 at Arlington United Methodist Church, 1360 Murfreesboro Road, Nashville, TN.
