Hollis "Buddy" Crocket Rule Jr.

Hollis earned 2 bachelor's degrees, served in the United States Navy, and was employed in the IT division for Metro Nashville Public Schools. He loved classic country music, playing guitar, riding his Yamaha V-Star 950, operating his ham radio, and spending time with his wife, Donna, and family.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Clarinda Andrews Rule and his daughter, Tori Phillips. He is survived by his wife Donna Rule; father Hollis Rule, Sr.; stepmother Dalpha Rule; sons Bryan (Kelley) Phillips and Andrew (Becca) Rule; daughter Amy Phillips; stepson Sean (Sarah) Daly; brother Brook (Wanda) Rule; sister Retha Rule; grandchildren Ava and Charli Phillips; David and Katelyn Proffitt, Adelaide Rule, Reece Fletcher, Aurora Allen, Gunner and Kailyn Daly; and nieces and nephew Kristen, Marianna, Rebecca and Adam.

A Gathering of Family and Friends for Hollis will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home and again Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Hermitage Hills Baptist Church - Room in the Inn, donations may be mailed to HHBC, 3475 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37076.
