

Beloved husband of the late, Janice Marie Walls Stewart, Grady is survived by his children, Jon Stewart (Lara) and Stephanie Smith (Wayne), grandchildren, Ethan Smith, Kyle Stewart, and Drew Smith, and sisters Mary Finney, Anita Howard, Gayle Stevenson (Don), and Betty Lovell.
Grady was predeceased by his wife Janice Marie Walls Stewart, his sisters Eldreda Garrett (Paul) and Loweda Self, and his parents, Grady B. Stewart and Eva Julia Willard Stewart.
Grady graduated from High School in Visalia, California, and later earned a degree from Bible College at First Apostolic Church in Nashville, Tennessee in 1984. He Served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He began his career with Southeastern Bell Telephone, retiring from the telecommunications business in 2000.
A devoted man of faith, Grady's daily ritual included reading and studying a minimum of 10 chapters from the Bible and earnestly praying for his family, friends, and church. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and creating beautiful pieces from wood and Trout fishing.
Known for his philanthropic spirit, Grady and Janice had a passion for missions. They actively supported missionaries worldwide through Apostolic World Christian Fellowship, working towards spreading the Gospel to all corners of the world. Taking trips to China, Taiwan, Philippines and Germany for mission work.
A true family man, Grady's love and prayers for his children and grandchildren were unwavering, always seeking protection and guidance for their journeys into adulthood.
He cherished attending Saturday morning breakfasts, relishing the companionship of Brother Ronald Denton, Bro Bob Wojick, and Bro Tommy Vaughn over his favorite meal.
Visitation Tuesday April 22, 2025 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at First Apostolic Church, 265 Broadmoor Dr. Nashville TN 37207, and Wednesday April 23, 2025 from 10:00am-11:00am also at Church. Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00am. Burial following Hermitage Memorial Gardens 535 Shute Lane Old Hickory, TN 37138.
