He was born in Nashville, TN and was the son of the late Porter Lawrence Dickerson and Mildred Lauper Dickerson.
Wayne leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife of 49 years, Melissa Dickerson; children, Dana (Derrick) Meadows and Nate (Leslie) Dickerson; four grandchildren, Lauren (Kelton) Brown, Joseph Meadows, Porter Dickerson and Connor Dickerson; one great-grandson, Hudson Brown; and sister, Donna McConnell; nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. at Hermitage Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will follow immediately after visitation at 2pm at Hermitage Funeral Home.
Committal services will be held at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
