Carl Edward Collins, 68, of Old Hickory passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013. He was born in Livingston, TN and was a 1963 graduate of Livingston Academy. Surviving relatives include his loving wife, Rita Collins; his two sons, Chris Collins and wife Paige of Boca Raton, FL, and Scott Collins of Henderson, NV; three grandchildren, Taylor and Carson Collins of Boca Raton, FL, and Peyton Collins of Henderson, NV; and brother, Darrell Collins and wife Tonna of Murfreesboro, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Nola Collins; and sister, Helen Collins Hamilton. Carl had a zest for life, loved the outdoors by fishing, boating, and camping, cherished his family and friends, enjoyed the companionship of his dog Peaches, and never met a stranger. He will be truly missed by all. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, December 14th at 12pm in the Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel with visitation beginning at 10am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Carl's honor to the American Cancer Society.
