Caleb Michael Womack, 17, of Old Hickory, Tennessee was taken suddenly and unexpectedly on July 26, 2024. He was born on July 6, 2007 in Nashville, Tennessee to parents, Brent Womack and Rebecca Minton. He would have been a senior next month at McGavock High School.
Caleb loved the outdoors, which is where he could be found unless he was, briefly, indoors playing video games. He played baseball from four years of age until eleven. In the seventh grade, he played football with the community league in East Chambers, Texas. From an early age, Caleb realized if he broke something on his bicycle, he would have to repair it. This probably led to his mechanical leanings as he would eventually repair, not only his own bike, but those of his friends, as well. He actually built a motor on his own and had aspirations of becoming an aircraft mechanic.
Caleb was always smiling and would light up any room he entered. He was a very loving young man and enjoyed helping people in need. His youngest brother says that Caleb “was always fun to hang with”. Caleb loved well . . . was well-loved . . . and will be greatly missed.
Caleb is preceded in death by maternal great grandfather, William Wayne Leslie; paternal grandfather, William Carey Womack; and paternal grandmother, Laura Jane Womack. He is survived by his father, Brent Womack; his mother, Rebecca Minton (Michael); brothers William Brent “Will” Womack, Jr., Logan Riley Womack, Tyler Gage Womack; maternal grandmother, Sue Roberts (Tracy) of Port Arthur, TX; maternal great grandmother, Julie Wilson of Breaux Bridge, LA; uncles Michael Brandon Womack, Darrel Leslie (Robbie) of Breaux Bridge, LA, Anthony Leslie of Breaux Bridge, LA, Robbie Roberts (Jenny) of Carencro, LA; and John Louvir (Mitz) of Jasper, TX.
