Barbara Lynn Boyce, a beloved presence known for her warmth and wisdom, peacefully departed this life on July 17, 2024. Born on August 3, 1955, in Houston, Texas to Ruth and Kenneth Crank, Barbara’s life was a testament to love and adventure
Growing up alongside her siblings—Karen, Rick, Debbie, and Bill—Barbara embraced life with boundless enthusiasm. After graduating high school in 1973, she embarked on a journey that led her to live in various places, whether it was summer jobs in Yellowstone to the mountains of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Eventually, she made her home in the greater Nashville area, where she created a nurturing and loving environment.
She had a keen eye for tasteful antiques, finding joy in collecting unique pieces that added character to her home. Barbara also possessed a deep curiosity about her family's history, meticulously researching and documenting their stories. Barbara possessed a competitive spirit that thrived during friendly word scramble games forcing challengers to keep their thesauruses handy.
Barbara was a devoted mother and mother-in-law to Taylor and Micah Boyce, and Zachary and Kristen Boyce. She found immense joy in being a beloved grandmother to Carter, Lincoln, Reagan, Elijah, and Ava. Her love extended to countless friends who were fortunate to experience her kindness and compassion.
A private celebration of Barbara's life will be held with her family, where she will be reunited with her mother.
Though she will be deeply missed, Barbara’s spirit will forever inspire and guide those who were blessed to know her.
