Ann (Campanella) Toscano, 84, of Englishtown, NJ died gracefully on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Pinebrook Care Center in Manalapan. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY by her late adored parents George and Rose (Pellegrino) Campanella. Ann met her beloved husband Mario and together they raised their family in Brooklyn and in 1996 retired to Tom's River and later to Englishtown where Mario still resides.
Ann was a secretary for Navy Resale in Fort Wadsworth Staten Island, NY for 17 years. She then worked as a medical assistant for 5 years with Dr. Weinreb in Brooklyn, NY.
Ann was devoted to the bible and enjoyed ministry to the old, young and ill. Ann played the piano by ear, but above all else she loved to sing, especially to her grandchildren.
Ann is predeceased by her dear brothers Anthony and John Campanella. She is survived by her beloved husband Mario of 64 years; her loving children Joseph (and his wife Beverly) Toscano of Kingston, NY; Georgeann (and her husband Vincent) DeNardo of Englishtown, NJ; her dear brother Vincent (and his wife Rosemarie) Campanella of Manchester, NJ; her 4 adored grandchildren Nicole DeNardo, Tara Lonardo, Craig DeNardo and Kyle Toscano. Ann also leaves behind her cherished great-grandchildren Madisyn Toon, Christian Lonardo and Nicholas Lonardo.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 2-5pm & 7-9pm at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Highway 9, Old Bridge, NJ 08857. Friends and family will gather Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the funeral home from 8:30am to 9:15am and then proceed to a 10:30am chapel committal service at Brigadier General William C Doyle Veterans Cemetery 350 Province Line Road Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
