Raymond Lee Ladner, 28, of Independence, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. He will forever be remembered as a loving son, brother, grandson, fiancé, nephew, cousin and friend to everyone he knew.
Raymond was born on December 5, 1995 in Kansas City, Missouri to Herman “Ray” and Theresa Marie (Ledesma) Ladner. He graduated from Truman High School “Class of 2014” and attended UMKC where he earned his Bachelor’s degree.
Raymond was considered an entrepreneur. Together with his brother Andrew, grew a business from the ground up that focused on buying and selling very rare sports cards and memorabilia. They loved traveling the country together, meeting fellow collectors, finding hard to get cards, and just enjoying the hobby that turned into a business.
Raymond was also a very hard worker with good work ethics. He enjoyed the game of soccer and was considered a soccer fanatic. He loved to watch NASCAR and Formula 1 racing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoyed family gatherings. Raymond applied himself as a youth basketball coach. He devoted himself to work with the young individuals who were willing to play to win.
Raymond is preceded in death by his father Herman “Ray” Ladner, paternal grandmother Joel Johnston Ladner and his maternal grandfather Richard Lee Ledesma. He is survived by his loving mother Theresa Marie Ladner, and his younger brother Andrew Ladner of the home, maternal grandmother Patricia Jimenez and her husband Joel of Grain Valley, Missouri and his paternal grandfather Herman Ray Ladner Sr. and his wife Myra of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. He will be sadly missed by his fiancé Maribel Regalado. Raymond also leaves behind several aunts, uncles and cousins who all loved this special young man.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church 1086 North 94th Street Kansas City, Kansas. Interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2024 at the Chapel Hill Butler Funeral Home 701 North 94th Street Kansas City, Kansas.
