Jim Anderson, 82, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022.
He was born on March 2, 1940 in Highland, Kansas to the late Herman Anderson and Sadie (Johnson) Anderson. Jim was a Lineman at South Western Bell. He was a salt of the Earth guy and a very hard worker. He taught his boys and everyone around him the value of hard work and compassion. Jim served in the Army in the Vietnam Era as part of the Corps of Engineers. He also stood guard during President John F. Kennedy’s Funeral Ceremony.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Antoinette Anderson and his parents.
Survivors include his sons: Tom Carrel and wife Samantha, and Mike Carrel and wife Tobey; brother, Robert Anderson and wife Orveda; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be Monday, May 9, 2022 at 6:00pm at the McGilley and Frye Funeral Home, 105 E Loula St., Olathe, KS 66061.
