She was born in Miller, South Dakota on May 18, 1929, and has lived in Olathe for the last 33 years.
Colleen was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell after 60 years of marriage. Colleen was well known and loved in the community and volunteered as a Victim’s Witness Volunteer with the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office for more than 20 years. She was also a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
Colleen is survived by 11 Children, Sandra Brew, Michael Kearns, Timothy Kearns, Cynthia Degges, Patrick Kearns, Diana Goldstein, Brian Kearns, Kevin Kearns, Shawn Kearns, Kristen Chavez, and DeLonna Pujones; 25 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-7pm, Thursday, August 18, at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be prayed at 5pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am, Friday, August 19 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 900 S. Honeysuckle, Olathe, KS, with burial following in Calvary Cemetery.
