She was a loving wife to Richard Warren Sr. for 50 years until his death and for the 20 years after he was still the love of her life, and her hero. She was a woman who loved life and challenges, an avid collector of dolls, salt and pepper shakers, and most of all love. If you knew her, you loved her. She loved games, jokes, but most of all, she loved her family and measured her wealth by the happiness of those she loved. Family was her life and Sunday dinners were her happiness when all of her children, grandchildren, and friends were with her. Winnie was a wise woman who knew a person’s strength came not only from within, but from their family. She instilled in her children and grandchildren that “as long as you stand together, you will never stand alone, but always stand on your own two legs.”
Winnie reunited with her husband Richard; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Dwight Degolia; and grandson, Ronnie Bob Warren. Left to honor and carry on her legacy are her three children and their spouses, Richard Warren Jr. and wife Pam, Gina (Warren) Johnson and husband Larry, and Alex Warren and wife Deborah; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
