Wilfred "Bill" Brackeen

Bill graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He served in the US Air Force as a Sergeant. He married Barbara Jane Shipman on June 6, 1959. Bill was retired from Allstate Insurance Company and was a member of the Alameda church of Christ for 16 years.

Bill spent his Golden Years with Barbara by going out to breakfast, doing crossword puzzles together, going to church, fishing, beautifying their lawn, swimming, working out at the gym, attending numerous kids’ sports, and occasionally pet sitting. Bella, puppy, has brought much light to their lives, as well.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Ethel Lee Gladden and Norma Eick. He is survived by his wife Barbara; son William Brian & wife Karen and daughter Jamie Leigh; daughter, Sheri Ann, & husband Gary Paul Grotts; his pride and joy, his grandchildren: Lucy Knight & husband Brett, Tommy Paul, Robby Bear, and Jalen Fred; and many other friends and family members.

Funerals services will be 2pm, Sunday, August 29, 2010, at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel 13313 N Kelley Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73131, with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
