Wanda Faye Colquitt Brown was born November 26, 1936 in Wetumka, Oklahoma, the daughter of George and Dany “Dana” Bryant Colquitt. She passed from this life March 9, 2020 in Spencer, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years (forever 39). A lifetime resident of Oklahoma, Wanda was a 1955 graduate of Choctaw High School. She worked as a Secretary for many years, but her favorite job was being a homemaker, Mom and Granny. Wanda was a member of First Baptist Church of Del City and enjoyed crochet, working with genealogy, sewing. She liked scratch-off tickets and playing the slot machines. A prankster, Wanda will be remembered for her wit and humor. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and Stanley Brown were united in marriage on October 26, 1962 in Minco, Oklahoma. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Danielle Hatchett and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert (Ed) and Marie Colquitt, Luther (Bubbles) and Dortha Colquitt and Otto Colquitt. She is survived by her husband, Stanley Brown of Spencer, Oklahoma; children, Larry Davis and wife Bonnie of Shawnee, Connie Spicer and husband Jeff of St. Louis, Oklahoma, Sherrie Huffine of Oklahoma City and Charlotte Dyer and husband Jim also of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Bridget Pitcock, Todd Davis and wife Kerri, Casey Davis and wife Tiffany, Ashlee Welch and husband Adam, Hillary Huffine, Dylan Dyer and Cody Hatchett; Honorary grandchild, Mark Hatchett; great-grandchildren, Zane Welch, Lake Pitcock, Allyssa Welch, Ayden Davis, Colin Hardin and Brent Hardin; brother, Johnnie Colquitt and wife Loretta of Guthrie; sister-in-law, Sue Colquitt of New Waverly, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 2pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 12:00 noon at the Chapel of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
