Davidson, Jr. Jan 24, 1942 - Nov 16, 2012 UNION CITY Walter Cleveland Davidson, Jr. was born January 24, 1942, in Lindale, Texas, to Walter and Mildred Davidson and went home to be with his heavenly Father on November 16, 2012, at the age of 70. He served in the U.S. Army 1960 - 1963 and married the love of his life, Estella Marie Tenney, on November 17, 1963, in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Walter obtained a bachelor's degree from USAO in Chickasha, completed a Master's of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, and a Doctorate of Church Administration from California Graduate School of Theology. During his lifetime, he pastored numerous churches throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Washington and California. After retiring from full-time ministry, he opened and operated Davidson Construction Company for more than 20 years. Walter's faith in and love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was the foundation of his life and a constant source of strength. Through good times and bad, he always understood and accepted that God was in control, and in every circumstance, he praised Him and never doubted the Lord's love. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Estella; and his three daughters, Jana Walls and husband Billy, Vicki Woods and Larry, Kim Walton and husband Lyle; seven grandchildren, Joshua Woods, Ashley Cochran and husband Chris, Jessica Tritten and husband Stephen, Rachel Walls, Alexys Woods, Craig Walton and Geena Walton; and numerous brothers and sisters. Services will be held at Chisholm Heights Baptist Church in Mustang, Oklahoma, on Monday, November 19th at 10 a.m.; Interment at Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko, Oklahoma.
