She had worked in the warehouse at Tinker AFB. Vera was a member of American Legion V.F.W.; a member of Weight Away; T.O.P.S.; and a den mother. Vera enjoyed dancing and collecting salt and pepper shakers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John “Soapy”; one sister, Leola Valliant, and two brothers: George and Charles Powell. Her survivors include: one daughter, Brenda D. Malone of Oklahoma City; one son, George Malone and wife, Darla of Midwest City; two granddaughters: Kathleen Michelle Hastings and Cinthia Case; five great-grandchildren: Kenneth, Wesley, Cheyene, Caleb, and Maklia; sister, Glenda Clutz; brother, Bill Clutz and wife Barbara; and special friend, Norvell Warren.
